The NS line is limited to 40 and 35 mph for passenger trains between milepost 217.8 to milepost 214.1 where 60 mph is permitted. Realignment to 1 degree curvature from milepost 217.8 to milepost 217 and milepost 216.3 through 40.613789N78.153292N to 40.613658N78.143639W to milepost 214.6 ending at milepost 213.8. This realignment would allow 110 mph. The Spruce Creek tunnel's west portal is at milepost 213.8. Proposed new alignment is in yellow. The PRR mainline now owned by Norfolk Southern is on the original 1850 right of way.
